Ehsan's Growth Analysis
Deel went from $1M to $500M+ ARR faster than any SaaS company in history. Read that sentence again. The speed is not the interesting part — the timing is. Deel launched in 2019, perfectly positioned for the remote work explosion of 2020. But timing alone does not explain $500M ARR. The product insight was recognizing that international hiring is a compliance problem, not a payroll problem. Companies do not fear paying people in other countries. They fear the legal liability of doing it wrong. Deel productized the entire legal/compliance layer (entity setup, contracts, tax withholding) that normally requires hiring a law firm in each country. They turned a $50K legal engagement into a $49/month SaaS subscription. The margin structure is remarkable.
