As an entrepreneur, it should be your first priority to plug-in the right growth hacking strategy and scale your business on a quarterly basis, otherwise you’ won’t be able to compete with your rivals.
Rather surprisingly, many digital marketers misunderstood the concept of growth hacking. The truth is, to become a successful entrepreneur, and out-compete your competitors you must embrace the growth mindset.
The growth hacking mindset is all about thinking out of the box, and using both conventional, and unconventional digital marketing strategies that lead to higher conversion rate, and acquiring more customers.

T run a successful content marketing campaign, it’s essential to know your target audience. The last thing you want to do it so spend hours creating a piece of content that no one shows interest to read.

One of the best ways to discover your target audience’s persona is to create your customer or reader’s profile using an empathy map template. It helps you to know more about their feelings, thoughts, pains and attitude. You can begin asking questions like:
- What does she think about on a daily basis?
- What are her worries and what frustrates her?
- Who influences her?
- What does she normally discuss with her friends?
Once you defined your audience, it’s time to draft your content based on what really matters to your readers. Always remember, your content, and in particular your blog should be perceived by your customers as a valuable go-to-guide that offers work-around or solutions for their pains.
- Guest Blogging, also known as Guest Posting. Creating content is not limited to your own blog or website. You can use guest blogging as an alternative growth hacking strategy, but there is one significant rule that you must always follow; Add value to the Host website.
Websites that offer guest blogging, and guest posting, or giving out a contributor accounts expect you to understand their audience and address their need, not to be self-promotional.
While there are plenty of benefits in guest blogging such as improving brand awareness, and traffic, there is a huge pitfall in guest posting too; I prefer to call it ‘Lazy-style guest blogger’.
Let’s go back to the basic of content marketing. Contents exist to solve some issues for readers, or entertain them, and that’s achievable only if you spend enough time creating or curating epic contents. The truth is, lazy-style guest blogging refers to those writers who churn out 30 articles per week without considering what are the audience really interested in.
- Use Visuals Wisely. Who has not heard this idiom: “A picture is worth a thousand words”. In today’s competitive market, it’s vital to leverage on the power of creative arts, visuals, and create engaging contents like animated Infographics, also known as Gifographics.
When it comes to crafting your growth hacking strategies, the most important steps that you need to do to get the best out of your infographics, and animated visuals are:
- Choose a topic that interests your audience. The worst thing any entrepreneur, or growth hacker should do is to assume that their idea is great, instead, you must conduct a comprehensive, yet low cost, market research and monitor the trends to find a catchy topic.
- Write a fact driven narrative. It’s essential to collect as many data, points, fact, as possible to present a buzz-worthy piece of visual-content. The secret to success is in simplicity, so, so not over-complicate it by including too many points in your infographic. General rule of thumb is to keep it between 7 to 12 points.
Promote your content. Now that you have a greatly designed piece of content that has an engaging narrative, and a compelling story around those points it’s time to promote your content and share it with as many people as you can.
You can share it with bloggers who publish infographics, or even share it on social media. To take it to the next level, you can spend $5 to $10 on Facebook and boost your post; This way you’re reaching out to people beyond your personal network.
